Desktop Support Technician - (NOC)
Job Description
Join ESP Global Services Limited as a Desktop Support Technician (NOC) to deliver end-user IT support onsite in Arlington Heights, IL.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-person, phone, remote, and email support to users across supported departments
- Maintain the ticketing system with accurate status updates for all support requests
- Keep the inventory system current with deployed computing asset information
- Research, recommend, and place orders for requested software and hardware from departments
- Create and provision user accounts, email accounts, and required access for end users
- Support end users with issue resolution on both Windows and Apple (Mac) systems
- Walk users through troubleshooting procedures to restore service
- Perform hardware and software upgrades as needed
- Support printing and other peripheral computing devices
- Set up, install, and configure desktop hardware and software in line with internal controls, policies, and standards
- Participate in identity and access management across relevant systems
- Support one or more departments by restoring service and/or identifying and correcting core problems
- Resolve hardware issues effectively and efficiently in alignment with customer contractual SLAs
- Perform other IT support duties as assigned
Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of experience providing Helpdesk/Desktop Support or Field Services, including troubleshooting hardware, software, connectivity, and operating system issues
- 1 to 3 years experience with current Microsoft Windows Desktop software
- 1 to 3 years experience supporting: DSS, multiple workstation OS (Windows, Mac), and multiple mobile OS (Android, iOS), plus networking and printing services
- Experience fulfilling onboarding and offboarding requests (desktop/laptop/iPad setup, installing screens & displays, patch port cabling, software configuration, mobile setup)
- Experience supporting performance and resolving client-related issues
- Understanding of network protocols, server hardware, and related configurations
- Self-motivated approach with willingness to learn and adapt to change
- Ability to communicate effectively with peers, line manager, stakeholders, and client end users
- Comp IT (A+, Network+, Security+) or equivalent certification

Salary: USD 50,000 - 53,000 per yearly
