Overview

Location: Dulles, VA (onsite) β€’ Salary: USD 56,000 - 93,400 per yearly β€’ Experience: 2 years minimum β€’ Education: High School diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret intricate work instructions and engineering documents
  • Assemble electromechanical and electronic components and assemblies
  • Assist with integrating critical spaceflight hardware with careful attention to detail, safety, and quality
  • Fully comply with ISO processes, cleanroom protocols, hazardous materials handling requirements, and operating procedures
  • Demonstrate general technical knowledge in mechanical assemblies and use of both common hand tools and complex measuring devices
  • Communicate work status daily with work center management, engineers, and mechanical leads to resolve technical issues
  • Collaborate effectively within a diverse team and accept feedback from Safety and Quality personnel
  • Show strong organizational skills, adaptability, precision, and a proactive mindset focused on mission success
  • Maintain flexibility to support off-shift work, weekends, overtime, and up to 25% domestic travel for launch campaign support

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent with an additional two years of education and/or related experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Top-Secret security clearance
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Knowledge of electrical measurements (AC/DC, resistance) and mechanical troubleshooting techniques
  • Understanding of clean room operations and spacecraft handling protocols
  • Ability to lift and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Capability to perform repetitive motions such as standing, bending, squatting, leaning, and using tool tethers
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including 2nd and 3rd shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed
