Job Description
This contract Help Desk Analyst position supports daily technology operations for a university environment in San Diego, CA. The role focuses on hands-on desktop and laptop assistance, device deployment, and application troubleshooting for end users across campus.

Pay: USD 25 - 28 per hour
Role Responsibilities
- Provide front-line technical support to university staff and end users, resolving desktop and laptop issues in a timely manner.
- Prepare, configure, and deploy Mac and Windows computers for new hires and current team members.
- Support onboarding activities by setting up devices, accounts, and key productivity tools ahead of start dates.
- Troubleshoot and maintain applications, including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and selected Adobe software, with tools used for audio and video editing.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access-related tasks within Active Directory.
- Process a continuous volume of help desk service requests each day, documenting work and keeping ticket status current in the help desk platform.
- Provide desk-side support for hardware, software, and basic connectivity issues throughout the campus environment.
- Assist with workstation lifecycle tasks such as reimaging, replacements, updates, and general maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in help desk or desktop support within a detail-oriented environment.
- Working knowledge of Windows and macOS laptop setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Active Directory for user account and access support.
- Ability to deploy computers and prepare systems for user onboarding.
- Practical experience supporting Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications.
- Exposure to Adobe applications, especially software used for video or audio editing, is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tickets each day.
- Clear communication skills and a customer-focused approach to technical support.
