Help Desk/Desktop Support Analyst
Job Description
A Help Desk/Desktop Support Analyst is needed for a long-term contract engagement supporting end users across Indiana and Kentucky. The work is remote for much of the role, with an estimated 10% monthly travel to client sites, delivering reliable, Windows-based technical support.
This position focuses on keeping employees productive by quickly addressing service desk requests, troubleshooting desktop issues, and maintaining access and device readiness across Microsoft Windows environments.
What you’ll do
- Respond to incoming service desk requests and provide timely technical assistance for hardware, software, and user access problems.
- Diagnose and resolve common issues related to Microsoft Windows systems, desktop performance, and end-user functionality.
- Support Windows 10 devices by identifying issues, applying fixes, and escalating more complex incidents when necessary.
- Create, update, and close support tickets with clear documentation of actions taken and issue resolution.
- Assist with Active Directory tasks, including account support, password resets, and basic user access maintenance.
- Provide desk-side and remote support to minimize downtime and restore productivity quickly.
- Help set up, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices in line with support standards.
What you bring
- At least 1 year of experience in help desk, desktop support, or a similar technical support role.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory in a user support environment.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Windows, including Windows 10 systems.
- Ability to perform basic troubleshooting for hardware, software, and operating system issues.
- Familiarity with managing and resolving service desk tickets in an organized manner.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach to technical support.
