Help Desk/Desktop Support Analyst

Robert Half has a long-term contract opportunity for a Help Desk/Desktop Support Analyst in Gilbert, AZ with onsite work. This role supports end users by resolving real-world issues across desktops, laptops, and workstations, with a focus on Microsoft Windows 10, service desk ticket handling, and Active Directory account administration. The pay range is $23–$27 per hour (USD).

What you’ll do

• Deliver frontline help desk support for desktop, laptop, and workstation problems, aiming for timely, effective resolutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve common Windows 10 and related system issues using hands-on methods and remote support.
• Manage incoming service desk tickets end to end, including documenting troubleshooting steps and resolutions and following through to closure within expected response times.
• Assist with Active Directory user account administration, including access updates, password support, and basic account maintenance.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktop software and standard business applications used by employees.
• Escalate more complex technical problems when needed while keeping users updated on progress and next steps.
• Complete routine system checks and support workstation setup, replacement, and general endpoint support activities.

What you bring

• Experience providing help desk or desktop support in a business environment.
• Working knowledge of Active Directory for basic user and account administration tasks.
• Hands-on support experience with Microsoft Windows, including Windows 10 environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot common hardware, software, login, and connectivity issues efficiently.
• Familiarity with service desk ticketing practices and accurate support documentation.
• Strong communication skills with a detail-oriented approach to assisting users.
