Help Desk Engineer
Job Description
Heritage Senior Living is seeking a full-time, onsite Help Desk Engineer in West Allis, WI. This role delivers IT support, workstation and device setup, user administration, and network and security tasks to keep operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Responding and logging to Helpdesk Emails & Phone Calls
- Set up workstations (Laptops, Desktops, Printers, etc.)
- Setup Mobile Devices (iPhones, Android) & MDM software
- Setup Tablet Devices (iPads, Android)
- Add/Remove users in Active Directory, Office 365, Sharepoint, and other software
- Train and Assist new users on how to use the computer, and software services we provide them
- Develop training materials/manuals and facilitates information systems training
- Check computer hardware (HDD, mice, keyboards etc.) to ensure functionality
- Setup & Assist in Audio & Visual needs when needed (Projectors, TVs, PowerPoint, Conference Calls)
- Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications (Ex. Printer, Copier, Check Scanning drivers & software)
- Researches and remains current with I.T. trends, system information changes/updates and recommends improvements as needed
- Assist in developing and maintain local networks in ways that optimize performance & create procedures in case of an emergency
- Investigating, diagnosing and solving computer software and hardware faults
- Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems
- Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work
- Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.)
- Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule
- Identify computer or network equipment shortages

Essential Functions
- Communication: speaks clearly and hears at normal workplace volume
- Written communication: writes at professional level and able to read and interpret written information
- Physical ability: sit, stand, walk, and kneel occasionally during an 8-hour work day
- Physical ability: lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Visual ability: read materials, monitors, and logs up to 50 feet
- Attendance/punctuality: able to work 8 to 12-hour days
