Helpdesk Technician

At Booz Allen in Washington, DC, the Helpdesk Technician role supports DoD deployments within classified environments, focusing on Windows-based systems. You will deliver in-depth technical support, lead problem-solving and implementation efforts, and help manage service offerings and ticketing as part of a collaborative, team-driven operation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver thorough technical assistance and guide troubleshooting and deployment efforts for specified software and hardware, supporting mission-critical applications for customers.
• Collaborate within a dynamic team to oversee service offerings and ticketing, contribute troubleshooting expertise, and document best practices.
• Help domain users with software and hardware issues and assist in maintaining workstation configuration baselines.
• Collaborate to develop innovative solutions ensuring secure and reliable enterprise computer systems operations.
• Work independently or in small integrated teams.
• Ensure project completion and offer guidance to junior technicians, specialists, and managers.
• Identify problem areas and improvement opportunities within a mission-critical network.
• Share expertise through leadership and mentoring to help teams navigate challenges and develop new methodologies.
• Identify opportunities to modernize the network to better meet customer needs.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience delivering support within an IT operations environment.
• Experience as a Tier 1 helpdesk technician or in responding to incident tickets.
• Experience with Active Directory, virtualization, and basic networking concepts.
• Ability to install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware and software on Windows and Unix platforms.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting, identify, track, monitor, and prioritize requests.
• Ability to author, interpret, and analyze technical documentation.
• Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to undergo a polygraph.
• High school diploma or GED.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification such as Security+ CE.

Work Model

Clearance

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Compensation

Projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). Salary is determined by location, the individual’s education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and contract-specific requirements.
