HVAC Technical Support Advisor

The HVAC Technical Support Advisor role at Temperature Equipment Corporation is based onsite in Lansing, IL. You will provide technical and application support and training to TEC customers and TEC sales staff, with field visits as needed to support HVACR systems. This position emphasizes deep product knowledge, clear communication, and collaboration with internal teams to ensure customers receive effective technical guidance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the technical aspects of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning equipment distributed by TEC.
• Deliver technical and application support to TEC customers via phone or on-site field visits.
• Provide technical and application support for both inside and outside sales staff.
• Offer technical support for TEC’s parts division.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in HVACR with a strong understanding of systems and applications.
• Complete understanding of HVACR systems and applications.
• Knowledge of refrigerant pipe design.
• Strong public relations and communication skills.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook; some PIC programming knowledge.
• Well organized and team oriented with exceptional problem-solving abilities.
• Education: a 3-year trade school degree in HVACR, or completion of a union apprentice program in the HVACR environment.

Salary

• Starting salary: USD 56,000 per year
