Job Description

Full-time in-home sales and tech support role in Richmond, VA onsite, with paid training and a compensation package that includes hourly pay, mileage reimbursement, a phone stipend, and commissions. Schedule is 5 days a week, 12:05pm–9:00pm, with an hourly rate of $19.

Responsibilities

  • Apply the Serve, Solve, Sell approach to assist customers on the front lines.
  • Complete paid training to prepare to work independently in the field.
  • Meet customers in-home, in-office, or other locations; Asurion pre-schedules interactions to help you meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire interaction, always putting the customer first.
  • Utilize your expertise to address and resolve tech issues, delivering solutions that are understandable regardless of the customer’s tech knowledge.
  • Ensure customers leave with a working resolution and a product that addresses future tech needs.
  • Leverage Asurion’s growing product range to offer tailored solutions.
  • Listen actively to identify customer needs and position products to meet those needs.
  • Apply strong negotiation and communication skills to pivot smoothly and close appropriate sales.

Requirements

  • Comfortable working in a sales environment with set targets.
  • A valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record with at least 1 year of driving experience.
  • Ability to provide proof of valid car insurance (excluding Manhattan).
  • A personal vehicle (excluding motorcycles) with travel up to 120 miles one-way; customer appointments are in neighborhoods and cities around the inventory warehouse.
  • Ability to work a varied 5-day week including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A personal cellphone to stay connected on the job.
  • Comfort with working around household pets.
  • Efficient, adaptable, goal-oriented, and persuasive communication skills.
  • Open-minded with a desire to learn a broad range of skills applicable to multiple career paths.
  • Naturally outgoing and comfortable engaging with people.
  • Note: Work hours may vary based on business needs and market demand; flexibility may be required.

Benefits

  • Base hourly rate is guaranteed for all hours worked and paid bi-weekly; earned pay can be accessed early.
  • Uncapped commissions based on sales performance, paid bi-weekly.
  • Mileage reimbursement based on IRS guidelines, paid weekly.
  • $35 phone stipend, paid monthly.
  • 3–4 weeks of paid training with a focus on your success.

About the Role

We’re looking for In-Home Sales & Tech Support to work during our busiest hours. This entry-level role is ideal for someone starting their career, who enjoys talking to people and wants hands-on sales experience.

What You Can Expect to Do
