Job Description

Asurion in Birmingham, AL offers a full-time in-home sales and tech support role with paid training and a Serve, Solve, Sell approach. This on-site position requires daily travel to customer residences and provides a clear path to growth through coaching, product knowledge, and hands-on field experience.

Benefits

  • Base hourly rate guaranteed for all hours worked, paid bi-weekly; earned pay can be accessed early.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer residences daily as part of an in-home field role.
  • Guide customers through the Serve, Solve, Sell approach.
  • Attend paid training to prepare you to work independently in the field.
  • Learn products and gain hands-on sales experience while building skills in communication, negotiation, and problem-solving.
  • Meet customers in-home, in-office, or wherever they are.
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the interaction, always prioritizing the customer first.
  • Work with pre-scheduled customer interactions to meet and surpass sales targets.
  • Utilize your expertise to address and resolve customers' tech issues, providing an understandable solution regardless of their tech knowledge.
  • Ensure customers leave with a resolution that works and a product that addresses their future tech needs.
  • Leverage Asurion's growing range of products to offer tailored solutions to customers.
  • Listen actively to identify customer needs and position products uniquely to meet those needs.
  • Use strong negotiation and communication skills to pivot and close the right sale.
  • Receive ongoing coaching and mentoring to support growth and stay confident and tech-savvy.

Requirements

  • A valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record with at least 1 year driving experience.
  • Ability to provide proof of valid car insurance (Manhattan excluded).
  • A personal vehicle (excluding motorcycles). Customer service appointments are located in neighborhoods and cities surrounding your inventory warehouse. The maximum travel distance is 120 miles one-way.
  • Work a varied 5-day week schedule designed to meet customers on their timeline, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • A personal cellphone to stay connected on the job.
  • Comfortable working around household pets.
  • Efficient, adaptable, goal-oriented, and persuasive communication skills.
