In-Home Sales & Tech Support (Part Time)
Job Description
Asurion is seeking a part-time in-home sales and tech support professional to travel to customer residences in the Orlando area. This onsite role combines field selling with hands-on technical assistance, following the Serve, Solve, Sell™ approach. The position includes paid training and a flexible schedule designed to meet customer needs.
Summary
This part-time role entails conducting in-home customer visits to deliver tailored tech support while driving sales. You will start with paid training to operate independently in the field, build product knowledge, and develop communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Ongoing coaching supports confidence and technical proficiency as you engage customers in person and aim to exceed sales targets.
Responsibilities
- Engage customers on the front lines using the Serve, Solve, Sell™ framework.
- Complete paid training to prepare for autonomous field work.
- Gain hands-on sales experience, learn product details, and refine communication and negotiation abilities with ongoing coaching.
- Meet customers in their homes, at the office, or other locations; interactions are pre-scheduled to optimize sales outcomes.
- Deliver exceptional customer service throughout every encounter, prioritizing the customer’s needs.
- Apply technical expertise to diagnose and resolve tech issues and present clear, understandable solutions for customers at varying levels of tech savviness.
- Ensure customers leave with a functional resolution and a product aligned with future tech needs.
- Leverage Asurion’s broad product lineup to offer customized solutions.
- Listen actively to identify customer requirements and position products to address them.
- Utilize strong negotiation and communication skills to pivot effectively and close appropriate sales.
Requirements
- Comfort working in a sales environment with established targets.
- A valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record with at least 1 year of driving experience.
- Ability to provide proof of valid car insurance (excluded: Manhattan).
- A personal vehicle (excluding motorcycles). Customer visits occur in neighborhoods and cities around the inventory warehouse, with a maximum one-way travel distance of 120 miles.
- Open a varied 5-day workweek schedule to meet customers on their timeline, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A personal cellphone for on-the-job connectivity.
- Comfort working around household pets.
- Efficient, adaptable, goal-oriented, and persuasive communication skills.
- Open-minded with a passion for learning a broad range of skills applicable to multiple career paths.
- Naturally outgoing and comfortable engaging with people.
- Note: Work hours may vary based on business needs and market demand; a standard schedule is provided, but flexibility may be required.
Benefits
- Base hourly rate of $23 per hour, with pay available bi-weekly.
- Uncapped commissions based on sales performance, paid bi-weekly.
