In-Home Sales & Tech Support (Part Time)
Job Description
Part-time, in-home field sales and tech support, onsite in Schiller Park, IL, requiring daily travel to customer residences. This role follows a Serve, Solve, Sell approach and includes paid training, a base hourly rate plus commissions, mileage reimbursement, and a phone stipend.
Responsibilities
- Act as a Field Sales Representative delivering the Serve, Solve, Sell approach in-home, in-office, or wherever customers are located.
- Begin with paid training to prepare for independent field work.
- Build product knowledge and gain hands-on sales experience while developing communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Receive ongoing coaching and mentoring to support growth and maintain confidence and tech fluency.
- Serve: meet customers in their preferred location and pre-schedule interactions to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Serve: provide exceptional customer service throughout the interaction, prioritizing the customer.
- Solve: apply expertise to address and resolve tech issues with clear, understandable solutions for all levels of tech knowledge.
- Solve: ensure customers leave with a working resolution and a product aligned with future tech needs.
- Sell: offer tailored solutions from Asurion’s growing product range.
- Sell: listen actively to identify customer needs and position products to meet those needs.
- Sell: leverage strong negotiation and communication skills to close appropriate sales opportunities.
Requirements
- Comfortable in a sales environment with established targets.
- Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record with at least 1 year of driving experience.
- Ability to provide proof of valid car insurance (Manhattan excluded).
- Access to a personal vehicle (excluding motorcycles); travel can occur within neighborhoods and cities surrounding the inventory warehouse, up to a maximum of 120 miles one-way.
- Open to a varied 5-day week schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet customers on their timeline.
- Personal cellphone for on-the-job updates and communications.
- Comfort with working around household pets.
- Efficient, adaptable, goal-oriented, and persuasive communication skills.
- Open-minded with a willingness to learn a broad set of skills applicable to multiple career paths.
- Naturally outgoing and enjoys human interaction.
- Note: Work hours may vary based on business needs and market demand; flexibility may be required.
