Asurion is seeking an In-Home Sales and Tech Support professional for a part-time, onsite role in Birmingham, Alabama. This position blends in-person customer interactions with practical tech support, offering a base hourly pay, mileage reimbursement, a phone stipend, and commissions, all within afternoons and evenings hours after a structured paid training program.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a frontline advisor guiding customers through the company’s Serve, Solve, Sell approach.
- Complete paid training to enable independent field work from the start.
- Meet customers in their homes, at an office, or wherever they are located.
- Take advantage of pre-scheduled customer interactions to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Deliver exceptional customer service throughout every engagement, keeping the customer first.
- Use expertise to resolve tech issues and present clear, understandable solutions for customers with varying levels of technical knowledge.
- Ensure customers leave with a working resolution and a product aligned with their future tech needs.
- Leverage Asurion’s product portfolio to tailor solutions to each customer.
- Listen actively to identify needs and position products to address them effectively.
- Apply strong negotiation and communication skills to pivot smoothly and secure appropriate sales outcomes.
Requirements
- Comfort working in a sales environment with established targets.
- A valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record with at least one year of driving experience.
- Ability to provide proof of valid car insurance (excluding Manhattan).
- A personal vehicle (excluding motorcycles). Travel will occur to neighborhoods and cities surrounding the inventory warehouse, with a maximum expected distance of 120 miles one-way.
- Availability to work a varied 5-day week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays to align with customer schedules.
- A personal cellphone to stay connected on the job.
- Comfort working around household pets.
- Efficient, adaptable, goal-oriented, and persuasive communication skills.
