In-Home Sales & Tech Support (Part-Time)
Job Description
This part-time role combines in-home sales with technical support, requiring on-site visits to customer residences. The position includes paid training and a compensation package featuring an hourly wage, mileage reimbursement, a phone stipend, and commissions, with a scheduled evening shift five days per week.
Summary
Location: Saint Rose, LA, onsite. Compensation starts at $22.05 per hour plus mileage reimbursement, a monthly phone stipend, and sales commissions. The role is part-time with a five-evening-per-week schedule from 4:05 pm to 9:00 pm, and includes paid training.
Responsibilities
- Interact with customers in their homes, offices, or other convenient locations, scheduling visits to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Deliver courteous, customer-first service throughout every engagement.
- Apply technical expertise to diagnose and resolve customer tech issues, providing clear, accessible solutions regardless of the customer’s technical background.
- Ensure customers leave satisfied with a workable resolution and a product plan that addresses future tech needs.
- Present and tailor Asurion product offerings to meet individual customer requirements.
- Listen attentively to identify needs and position products accordingly.
- Utilize strong negotiation and communication skills to pivot effectively and secure appropriate sales.
Requirements
- Comfortable working in a sales-driven environment with defined targets.
- Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record with at least one year of driving experience.
- Ability to provide proof of valid car insurance (Manhattan area excludes coverage).
- Personal vehicle (no motorcycles) with travel primarily to neighborhoods and cities surrounding the inventory warehouse; maximum one-way travel distance is 120 miles.
- Ability to work a varied five-day schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays to align with customer availability.
- Personal cellphone to stay connected while on the job.
- Comfort working around household pets.
- Efficient, adaptable, goal-oriented, and persuasive communication skills.
