Job Description

This onsite dispatch IT and AV technician role supports desktop, audio-visual systems, and basic network checks at Hillsboro, OR. The position focuses on Level 1 support for desktops and conference room technology, with dispatch duties as needed, and the compensation range is USD 26 - 32 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot desktop computers and notebooks, coordinate warranty repairs, and perform break-fix tasks as needed.
  • Oversee loaner and spare devices, maintaining records using customer-provided systems.
  • Deliver Level 1 AV support for meeting rooms, including device checks, resets, room readiness, and basic hardware troubleshooting.
  • Administer conference room accounts, including adding/removing users, password resets, and ownership updates.
  • Assist with basic printer troubleshooting, including toner replacements and waste cartridge changes.
  • Provide hands-on support for onsite infrastructure and network checks, covering ports, cabling, patch panels, access points, power verification, and device resets.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors and procurement teams when required.
  • Support equipment replacement or resets during failures under guidance from central IT.
  • Ability to work at height when required, using ladders or lifts.
  • Maintain communication with onsite and offsite teams to report changes, issues, or updates.
  • Ensure proper coverage during leaves and follow site operational processes and SOPs.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in IT and AV support.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting experience with desktops, laptops, and meeting room devices.
  • Basic understanding of network fundamentals including LAN ports, cabling, patching, and device resets.
  • Familiarity with conferencing platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Webex.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting equipment and working at height.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to follow SOPs, ticketing processes, and escalation guidelines.
