Job Description

Franklin Savings Bank is seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide frontline technical assistance for bank staff and to help maintain the reliability, security, and performance of the bank’s technology infrastructure. This on-site role in Farmington, Maine includes an after-hours on-call rotation to ensure continuous support for daily banking operations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for technology support requests, resolving issues and delivering excellent customer service.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and system-related issues across desktops, servers, and other technology platforms.
  • Occasional travel to bank branches within a 125-mile radius of Farmington, ME.
  • Maintain accurate records of support requests, system changes, and technical documentation.
  • Assist with maintaining and securing critical technology systems to support daily banking operations, particularly Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
  • Coordinate with technology vendors for application support, equipment procurement, and specialized services.
  • Monitor system performance and assist with optimizing technology resources to minimize downtime.
  • Assist with inventory management of technology equipment, supplies, and software assets.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, peripherals, and network-connected devices.
  • Support technology projects, implementations, and ongoing improvements across all bank locations.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices through ongoing training and professional development.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours support when needed.

Requirements

  • Education: Associate's degree or equivalent experience in IT support or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service, acting with an appropriate sense of urgency when addressing user needs.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical users.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, and operating systems.
  • Exceptional ability to self-direct and self-prioritize work tasks, ensuring efficient management of workload and deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Capable of fostering positive relationships within the team and across departments, ensuring seamless collaboration and support.
