IT Support Specialist I

Prime Healthcare Management Inc is seeking an IT Support Specialist I to deliver telephone helpdesk support and tier one IT assistance onsite in Ontario, CA. The role focuses on resolving hardware and software application issues, accurately tracking incidents, and escalating critical matters to the appropriate technical and leadership contacts.

Role Overview

This position provides first-line support for end users by using help desk software to document and route incoming incidents. Support coverage includes telephone-based helpdesk processes as well as tier one troubleshooting for hardware and software applications. When issues are urgent, the specialist escalates critical situations to technicians and leadership based on priority.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide telephone support for the helpdesk and associated processes.
• Deliver tier one IT support for hardware and software applications.
• Use help desk software to maintain an accurate record of all incoming calls.
• Document incidents and route calls, notifying technicians of critical situations requiring immediate attention based on priority.
• Maintain the appropriate skills to communicate effectively with users regarding specific problems.
• Advise the Director/Manager of any issues that may impact the Information Services department.

Required Qualifications

• Work experience in help desk activities using a help desk software application.
• Knowledge of E-mail system fundamentals.
• Understanding of network concepts including TCP/IP and MS/NT.
• Familiarity with internet and WEB browser concepts.
• High School Diploma required for all new hires starting 4/1/14.

Compensation and Location

Location: Ontario, CA (onsite).
Pay: USD 23 - 28 per hour.

Pay Transparency

Prime Healthcare offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that allows employees to tailor benefits according to individual needs. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $23.35 to $28.00. The exact starting compensation will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, considering skillset, years of applicable experience, education, and relevant credentials and licensure.
