MicroComputer Technical Support Specialist (Anticipated)
Job Description
At Cleveland Hill UFSD in Cheektowaga, NY, this onsite MicroComputer Technical Support Specialist role centers on keeping classroom technology and the associated server and personal computer systems running smoothly within an educational environment. The position requires after-hours scheduling flexibility, collaboration with staff, and a hands-on approach to ensure instructional technology remains available when needed.
Responsibilities
- Broad understanding of Server/Cloud to personal computer transfer principles
- Knowledge of operating systems for both servers and personal computers
- Familiarity with local area network topologies and associated operating systems
- Strong systems analysis concepts

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited or NYS registered four-year college or university and two years of computer programming experience, including at least one year of programming and/or maintenance of vendor-supplied operating software; or
- Associate's degree in Data Processing, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field with four years of data processing experience, two of which included programming and/or maintenance of vendor-supplied operating software; or
- High school diploma or equivalency and six years of data processing experience, two of which included programming, plus at least one year of programming and/or maintenance of vendor-supplied operating software; or
- An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the above options
