Regional Sales & Technical Support - HVAC
Job Description
This regional sales and technical support role focuses on developing key accounts, managing existing business, and providing technical support within the HVAC sector. The position requires extensive national travel and ongoing engagement with distributors, merchants, and customers.
Responsibilities
- Develop relationships with key accounts, distributors and merchants.
- Manage and maximise business from existing accounts.
- Investigate new possibilities throughout the country.
- Manage your own day and book and attend your own appointments.
- Ensure continual market awareness.
- Promote products at “Vendor Days” attend exhibitions and seminars.
- Be the ‘go to’ technical person for any queries.
- Travel to train and manage our Manufactures Representatives.
- Travel to train sales staff at each distribution outlet.
- Ensure updated or new point of sale material left on display at each outlet.
- Ensure stock levels are maintained at all outlets.
- Meet with head office personnel, catalogue managers & marketing managers to gain best catalogue coverage and promotional opportunities.
- Research, contact, demonstrate and visit architects, air conditioning install companies and building specifiers to educate them about our products.
- Aim to ensure we are included in the building tenders they specify.
- Organize and conduct vendor days at distribution outlets.
- The branch will invite customers to the outlet for you to exhibit the products at.
- Assist with trade shows.
- Report on all visits and follow up sales calls with the required information.
Requirements
- Ambitious, highly motivated and confident
- Proven track record in sales/account management
- Customer-focused attitude and affable personality
- Willingness to travel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Longevity with past employers and drive and enthusiasm to succeed
- Knowledge of the HVAC industry would be a distinct advantage
- Technical experience in HVAC is also of great benefit

Compensation
USD 50,000 - 65,000 per year
