Technical Support Engineer - Automotive / Heavy Duty Trucks

Stefanini North America and APAC is seeking a Technical Support Engineer specializing in automotive and heavy duty trucks. This onsite role supports dealers and stakeholders in Greensboro, NC or Hagerstown, MD by investigating complex technical concerns, performing root cause analysis, and enabling effective troubleshooting and workshop support.

Role Responsibilities

The Technical Support Engineer provides specialized technical assistance to dealers and company stakeholders to support resolution of complex product technical concerns and workshop tools.

• Provide technical support and problem solving for issues reported by the market.
• Visit markets and customers when technical problems are reported and provide on-site support as needed.
• Conduct root cause analysis for product quality issues, define containment actions when applicable, and follow up to verify solution effectiveness.
• Utilize data acquisition and analysis tools to support diagnostics and issue resolution.
• Serve as a specialist in Technical Support Engineering, typically requiring 6 years or more relevant experience to reach the specialist/lead level.
• Provide onsite training for customer support personnel.

Expert-level knowledge is required to apply data acquisition and data analysis techniques to diagnose truck issues effectively, and to support troubleshooting and repair aligned with NA workshop service practices.

Required Experience and Knowledge

• 8 years or more relevant experience as a Technical Support Engineer, focused on specialized technical assistance to dealers and company stakeholders to resolve complex product technical concerns and workshop tools.
• Expert-level knowledge of data acquisition and data analysis for diagnosing truck issues.
• Expert-level knowledge of the design and development of Class 8 and other company truck powertrain, chassis, and electrical/electronic systems.
• In-depth knowledge of truck troubleshooting and repair, including NA workshop service practices.

Compensation

USD 45 - 50 per hourly
