Technical Support Engineer Installer

At Amentum, a contract-based Technical Support Engineer Installer will be on site in Alexandria, Virginia, surveying, installing, and configuring a Wireless Intrusion Detection System at classified customer locations. The role offers fluid scheduling and periods of ongoing work to support security deployments that require careful coordination with client sites and operational constraints.

Responsibilities

• Antenna and bracket assembly
• Installation above drop ceilings
• Pulling and terminating Ethernet cables
• Potentially transporting equipment between buildings
• Executing tasks in accordance with all applicable Amentum safety standards
• Work in an environment with a mix of business hours and after-business hours, depending on customer building availability

Requirements

• Prior experience with current installation procedures, including potential conduit bending and installation (preferred)
• Ability to climb step ladders up to approximately 10 feet
• Capability to stoop, kneel, bend, twist, and carry at least 15 lbs of equipment
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration abilities
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph

Compensation

Hourly rate: USD 85 per hour
