Job Description

Amplex Internet is seeking a Technical Support Representative to join their Luckey, Ohio-based team onsite. In this position, you’ll be the first point of contact for customers and staff needing technical help, troubleshooting internet and telecom issues, and assisting field technicians from the office. The role includes a 90-day training period and starts at $19 per hour, with the opportunity to grow within a hands-on, in-person environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the initial contact for customers and employees seeking technical assistance via phone, email, or in person.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to internet service, software, hardware, and other service-related concerns.
  • Document inquiries, resolutions, and best practices while contributing to and maintaining internal knowledge base resources.
  • Collaborate with the Call Center and Network Operations Center (NOC) teams to escalate and address more complex problems.
  • Deliver a high-quality customer experience through timely, professional, and effective support.
  • Assist Field Service Technicians with in-field troubleshooting, service activations, ticket management, and other technical needs.
  • Gain practical exposure to telecommunications technology while helping keep customers connected.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Previous experience in a help desk or technical support role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of computer management and desktop support concepts.
  • Familiarity with computers, networks, and streaming services.
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with ticketing systems is a plus.

Schedule & Pay

  • In-office only, no remote work opportunity
  • 90-day training: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Post-training schedule: Monday through Friday, 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
  • Starting pay: $19 per hour, paid bi-weekly
