Job Description

Farm Data Systems offers a competitive hourly rate of $24 to $28, a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) with matching, dental, health, and vision insurance, plus paid time off. This onsite role in Madera, CA is part of a collaborative team dedicated to advancing agriculture through technology, with clear paths for career growth into Engineering, Systems Integration, or Project Management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop lasting relationships with growers, irrigation teams, and field personnel.
  • Conduct proactive check-ins and system reviews to maintain reliability.
  • Train customers on daily SCADA operation and best practices.
  • Promote adoption of new features and capabilities among users.
  • Collect customer feedback and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor customer systems, alarms, and communications for potential issues.
  • Reach out to customers to address small issues before they become major problems.
  • Troubleshoot sensors, controllers, radios, communications, and field devices.
  • Guide customers through diagnostics and corrective actions.
  • Escalate complex issues to Engineering with detailed documentation.
  • Assist with configuring and commissioning new SCADA systems.
  • Support field installations and equipment startups.
  • Lead customer onboarding and operational training.
  • Verify system performance and complete deployment documentation.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and system documentation.
  • Create troubleshooting guides and knowledge base articles.
  • Share technical knowledge with internal teams.
  • Recommend improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and system reliability.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in technical support, SCADA, industrial automation, or customer success.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Experience with PLCs, RTUs, sensors, VFDs, or other industrial control systems.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid California driver’s license.
