Job Description

The Technical Support Specialist provides on-site technology support at a client location in Portland, OR, handling incoming requests, coordinating with the client IT team, and assisting with conference room technology and site operations as needed.

Compensation

USD 20 - 21 per hour

The compensation range for this role is 20.00 to 21.50 USD. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual’s location, skills, experience, and qualifications.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Responsibilities

  • Operate a computer using basic terminology, including coaching and troubleshooting for others
  • Support technical requests and flex services with a “can do” approach
  • Receive support requests from end users via telephone, email, and the service desk queue in a courteous and timely manner
  • Engage firm IT through the client’s IT team as needed
  • Communicate accurately with client staff and Opensity Solutions team members regarding commitments, deadlines, challenges, and requests
  • Assist with conference room technology support, including video conferences
  • Help manage hardware inventory, including monitoring and distribution
  • Maintain ongoing communications with departments managed by Opensity Solutions and provide support as requested by the Site Supervisor and/or site leadership
  • Assist in other site-related areas on an as-needed basis

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of professional level work experience
  • Previous experience in a client service-oriented field preferred
  • Ability to multitask with attention to detail
  • Ability to lift or move 40 lbs. or greater
  • Ability to grasp, lift, or carry packages on a standard wheeled cart with a load capacity of 75 lbs.
  • Ability to walk, bend, kneel, stand, and/or sit for an extended period of time
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Some travel may be required
  • Strong initiative with the ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
