Salary range: USD 50,000 to 60,000 per year
What you’ll do
Provide first-level support for hardware, software, and network issues, aiming for timely resolution and clear communication with users. You will follow established IT policies, security protocols, and compliance requirements while maintaining accurate incident and resolution logs in the ticketing system for audit purposes.
- Handle service requests promptly, keeping users informed about resolution timelines
- Assist with system updates, patching, and basic configuration under supervision
- Troubleshoot operating systems, enterprise applications, and peripheral devices
- Document solutions and contribute to a knowledge base for recurring issues
- Escalate complex problems promptly to senior technicians or the relevant teams, including detailed context
- Analyze issues systematically to identify root causes and help prevent recurrence
- Prioritize tasks using logical reasoning based on urgency and impact
- Support periodic audits by providing required documentation and system checks
- Support procurement with accurate IT equipment specifications
- Collaborate with vendors for warranty claims or repairs under guidance from senior staff
Hardware, software, and solution ownership
- Hardware Management: Manage the operational effectiveness of branch hardware, including inventory control, end-of-life handling, ordering, setup, and retirement of hardware.
- Software: Troubleshoot software issues, support rollouts of new software solutions, and assist with backup and storage of data with attention to security.
- Solutions: Build and develop solutions alongside operational teams to drive branch efficiencies, including automation and optimization of productivity.
Qualifications
- Windows 11 OS experience and PC troubleshooting (preferred: experience building PCs)
- Knowledge of technology concepts including PowerShell, Networking, TCP/IP, Cybersecurity, and Cabling
- Experience with Office, Exchange, and SharePoint
- Effective problem-solving, ability to manage multiple tasks/projects, and strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Good communication skills and an inquisitive, exploratory mindset
- IT certifications considered a plus: CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft, VMware, Linux
