Technical Support Tech I

This onsite role focuses on installing, inspecting, and troubleshooting data center infrastructure, including structured cabling, server racks, and related equipment, on location in New Carlisle, IN.

Compensation

Hourly rate: USD 2,350 per hour

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, and troubleshoot copper and fiber structured cabling within data center environments.
• Label cables and connect them to switches, ensuring accurate terminations and up-to-date documentation.
• Carry out the physical installation of server racks, patch panels, and related networking hardware.
• Coordinate daily material delivery, movement, and installation of enterprise IT equipment.
• Maintain precise inventories and records for all infrastructure components.

Requirements

• Experience installing and troubleshooting structured cabling, including fiber, CAT5, and CAT6.
• Practical experience installing, testing, and repairing copper and fiber optic cabling, including patch panels and cable routing.
• Ability to physically install and relocate servers, network devices, and racks, including racking, stacking, grounding, and labeling.
• Minimum education: high school diploma or GED.
• Strong understanding of computer hardware, networking devices, switches, servers, and cable management best practices.
