Based onsite in Dallas, TX, this IT Support Engineer I role supports Amazon Operations across multiple nearby sites within a defined geographic area. You will provide hardware, operating system, and enterprise software support, troubleshoot straightforward issues, and implement practical technical solutions to keep critical systems available during production hours. The position offers an hourly rate of USD 25 to 41 and requires at least a high school diploma with a minimum of one year of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
- Network engineering and troubleshooting, data cabling and systems administration across varied software and hardware environments.
- Ensure infrastructure networking and computing systems remain available during production hours.
- Collaborate with management and staff to provide analytical and technical assistance for ongoing IT improvements.
- Manage local technical projects.
- Maintain or create policies, procedures, and processes.
- Identify root causes of operational issues and process inefficiencies.
- Support customers from multiple buildings in the area, as well as remote customers.
- Travel within the local or regional area to assist customers.
Requirements
- 1+ years of Windows Server technologies, including AD, DFS, Print Services, and SCCM experience.
- 2+ years of troubleshooting in a multi-user high-availability environment.
- 2+ years of PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment, and disposition experience.
- 1+ years of IT client, server, and network service delivery experience.
- 2+ years of networking experience (DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, TCP/IP).
- 2+ years of corporate-setting Windows, Mac, or Linux operating systems support experience.
- 2+ years of supporting and maintaining a corporate network environment.
- High school or equivalent diploma.
