Job Description

Demant is seeking a Technical Support Audiologist to deliver audiology-focused technical assistance for hearing care professionals working with hearing aid technology. This onsite role in the United States combines clinical support, troubleshooting of instruments and software, education, and product promotion, with travel when conventions and seminars require it.

Role overview

In this position, you will provide audiological support tied to the organization’s hearing aid technology. Audiologists serve as technical service and educational professionals, supporting day-to-day activities such as sharing information on hearing instruments, fine-tuning fitting adjustments, and resolving software issues. The Audiology Technical Support team aims to provide world-class service and support in every interaction while contributing to business growth and development.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hearing aid fitting solutions and recommendations to customers
  • Complete technical troubleshooting of instruments and software
  • Provide technical assistance to resolve issues related to shell and production manufacturing
  • Deliver training and education programs for both employees and customers
  • Promote and sell various Oticon products
  • Build collaborative relationships with customers and company colleagues
  • Travel to attend conventions and seminars as needed

Requirements

  • Education: an audiology degree equivalent to M.S., M.A., Au.D., or an HIS equivalent
  • Minimum 1+ years of clinical or field experience in audiological evaluations and hearing aid dispensing
  • Proven ability to work directly with customers by applying technical expertise, collaborating to develop solutions, and building rapport with integrity, care, and empathy
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proven ability to prioritize, multitask, and communicate effectively with customers and within the company
  • Positive, professional demeanor with all levels of employees and customers
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across different experience levels
  • Attention to detail and strong follow-up skills
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Flexibility and team orientation to perform effectively in a dynamic environment

Location and compensation

  • Location: United States (onsite)
  • Salary: USD 85,000 to 90,000 per year
