Job Description

Responsibilities
- Perform the essential functions of a Cardiovascular Technician I and II.
- Operate advanced diagnostic and interventional equipment as part of patient care workflows.
- Participate in the training and supervision of other Cardiovascular Techs.
- Support evaluation, learning, and/or teaching of new technologies as required.
- Work in or around radioactive areas as needed for procedures.
- Administer medications as prescribed and under physician supervision, including medications such as adenosine, Dobutamine, regadenoson, atropine, Aminophylline, nitroglycerine, metoclopramide, heparin, and sodium chloride.
Requirements
- HS/GED required; participation in college-level courses is preferred.
- If hired or promoted after July 1, 2014, an active Anesthesia Tech. Certification is required.
- Healthcare Provider BCLS is required within the orientation period.
- Minimum six months experience as a Cardiovascular Technician II or equivalent skill level is required.
