Desktop Support Technician

Join NTT DATA in Athens, GA as a Desktop Support Technician (onsite). In this role, you will support end users by handling everyday troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment moves for desktops, laptops, and printers. You will work within well-defined policies and procedures while using your technical judgment to keep user experiences running smoothly.

What you’ll do

• Support end users with routine troubleshooting, repairs, and parts replacement for desktops, notebooks, and printers.
• Complete systems upgrades and assist with basic deployments for endpoint devices.
• Identify potential issues that could impact the end user experience and take corrective action.
• Respond to calls after normal business hours when instructed by your leader.

Required skills and experience

• Typically 2-4 years of relevant experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Undergraduate degree or some college coursework preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the Windows operating system environment.
• Solid client service skills with an emphasis on end user support.
• A+ (or equivalent) desktop support skill set required; additional certifications for various hardware platforms may be required.
• Ability to physically perform general office requirements.
• Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Ability to travel, including possible overnight domestic or international trips.
• Reliable personal transportation (automobile).

How you’ll work

Your role involves discretion and independent judgment for non-routine matters, while the primary focus remains on routine support work. You may also provide policy recommendations to managers and serve as an escalation point for less experienced team members.
