Electro-Mechanical Technical Support Technician

Fox Valley Elevator is hiring an Electro-Mechanical Technical Support Technician (onsite in Appleton, WI) to deliver remote technical troubleshooting for elevator equipment and support modernization projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support to customers and field technicians via phone and email
• Diagnose equipment problems and walk technicians through repairs using wiring diagrams, service manuals, and technical documentation
• Review installations to help support compliance with applicable residential elevator codes and standards
• Create parts recommendations and provide pricing by coordinating with suppliers and internal teams
• Support modernization by identifying compatible upgrades and replacement components for existing elevator systems
• Assist with onboarding and technical training for installation and service personnel
• Document service cases accurately, track performance metrics, and maintain detailed records in company systems
• Deliver timely, professional, solution-focused support while building positive customer relationships

Requirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, elevator, or similar technical trades
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach
• Comfortable using computers, CRM platforms, and service management software
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• No college degree required; hands-on technical experience is highly valued

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in the elevator industry
• Knowledge of residential elevator codes and installation requirements
• Experience supporting or training field technicians
• Experience working on modernization projects involving legacy equipment
• Knowledge of PLC controls
• Familiarity with Mitsubishi and Siemens automation products
• Technical certifications such as CET, PMP, or equivalent (plus)

Compensation: $24 - $28 per hour (USD). Location: Appleton, WI (onsite).
