Engineering Technical Support Manager 2
Job Description
Northrop Grumman is seeking an Engineering Technical Support Manager 2 to lead a design team within the Naval & Oceanic Systems unit, onsite in Annapolis, MD; salary USD 139,800 - 209,800 per year.
Responsibilities
- Oversee a team of 10 to 12 designers, handling performance management, career development, staffing, and compensation planning
- Provide project and technical oversight for the group's design activities
- Maintain and enforce the design processes and guidelines used by the group
- Develop proposal inputs and review proposal content for internal and external customers
- Collaborate with peer managers to ensure cross-group consistency
- Support department initiatives, recruitment efforts, technology roadmap development, cross-campus and sector involvement, and internally funded projects
- Recruit, interview, and hire new personnel
- Foster employee engagement and promote knowledge sharing
Requirements
- Master's degree in a STEM field with at least 6 years of relevant experience; OR Bachelor's in STEM with at least 8 years; OR Associate degree in STEM with at least 10 years; OR High School Diploma or GED with at least 12 years of relevant experience
- Minimum of 6 years experience in MCAD design, creating 3D CAD models and engineering drawings of mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies
- Minimum of 6 years experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work within diverse teams
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams as a functional manager, program manager, technical lead, or other significant leadership role
- Proficiency in using common engineering design, production and office tools
- US Citizen with active Secret clearance; ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SSBI and pass a polygraph
