Overview

The Help Desk Analyst provides frontline IT support to end users, troubleshooting computer systems, software, and hardware to keep IT services running smoothly. Strong problem-solving abilities and clear communication are essential for helping users across all levels.

Responsibilities

Serve as the first point of contact for hardware, software, and network incidents.
Diagnose and resolve issues affecting Windows operating systems and applications.
Support users with mobile devices to ensure connectivity and proper operation.
Administer user accounts and permissions via Active Directory.
Monitor and optimize local area network performance.
Log and manage requests using AutoTask, ConnectWise, and HaloPSA.
Configure and maintain firewall settings to protect the network.
Collaborate with IT team members to resolve complex problems.
Document solutions and update knowledge base resources.
Provide training and guidance on best practices for technology use.

Requirements

Solid understanding of networking concepts, including VPN and LAN configurations.
Experience delivering IT support in a help desk environment.
Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows operating systems and applications.
Experience with Active Directory and Azure Active Directory for user management.
Knowledge of firewall configurations and endpoint security is a plus.
Experience with mobile device management is desirable.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Analytical, detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Shift pattern includes Day, Mid, and Swing with a 3-month rotation cycle, including weekends.
