Job Description

Provide on site and remote IT support for a manufacturing facility, owning and troubleshooting plant IT equipment and MES related projects.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver hands on IT support at the facility for Windows desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
  • Install and configure Windows workstations and standard business software including Microsoft Office, and keep them up to date.
  • Triages local and remote tickets, diagnoses issues, and implements timely resolutions, escalating to the broader IT team when needed.
  • Educate employees on basic IT usage, software tools, and MES system functions.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding for new hires, create Active Directory accounts, and image and set up workstations.
  • Help monitor and maintain plant wide network connectivity, including wired and wireless infrastructure.
  • Provide support for switches, access points, VoIP phones, and related systems under guidance from the central IT Operations Team.
  • Ensure IT equipment on the production floor is clean, safe, and compliant with plant standards.
  • Document troubleshooting steps, system changes, and incident resolutions.
  • Maintain inventory of IT equipment, spare parts, and replacement hardware.
  • Participate in local and corporate IT projects as required.
  • Occasional after hours or weekend maintenance when scheduled.
  • Possible travel to other company sites or training locations as needed.

Requirements

  • IT support experience of 2 years is required.
  • Computer networking experience of 1 year is required.
  • Software troubleshooting experience of 1 year is required.
