Job Description

On-site Help Desk Technician II at C&A Tool Engineering, Inc., based in Churubusco, IN, provides first-line IT support (Level 1–2), handling hardware and software troubleshooting and assisting users. The role offers a starting pay of $21 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for Level 1 and 2 IT requests
  • Deliver solid customer support to company employees
  • Document trouble tickets, perform follow-ups, and drive issue resolution
  • Repair or replace PC hardware, operating systems, applications, and peripherals
  • Assist in diagnosing and resolving related network and system issues
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to achieve problem resolution
  • Maintain the physical ability to stand, twist, bend, squat, stoop, kneel, climb ladders and stairs, and lift continuously during an 8-hour workday

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with a Help Desk ticket system and asset inventory management
  • Experience troubleshooting remotely or hands-on to fulfill requests
  • Experience setting up new computers and related systems
  • Experience installing desktop hardware and software
  • Experience configuring and maintaining desktop hardware and software
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for end-user hardware and software issues
  • Ability to document installation procedures and maintain hardware and software inventories
  • Experience with installation or troubleshooting of other IT related systems
  • Commitment to maintaining essential security measures to protect data, software, and hardware
  • At least one year of experience in a similar role
  • Position is 100% on-site with no hybrid or remote work
  • Must be a US citizen or a full-time resident
