Helpdesk Technician

Prime, Inc. offers a direct, hands-on IT support role where you help people solve everyday technical issues while building expertise across hardware, software, and networking. This onsite position in Springfield, MO focuses on responsive customer service, clear documentation, and steady support in a fast-paced environment.

What you’ll do

• Respond to user requests for support and work toward resolution of technical problems.
• Monitor the IT helpdesk queue and respond quickly and effectively to incoming requests.
• Install, test, and configure new workstations, peripheral equipment, and software.
• Monitor system performance and ensure functionality is maintained.
• Support driving associates in person and over the phone.
• Document processes and solutions for repeatable, accurate support.
• Participate in IT projects as assigned.

• Willingness to work overnights or weekends if needed.
• Accurate typing at at least 45 WPM.
• On-site attendance is required.
• Ability to sit and remain focused and motivated for long periods of time.
• Ability to multitask between computer work, phone support, and different projects.

Schedule & onsite details

Schedule: Wednesday through Saturday, 6am-6pm. The position also specifies hours of 6am-6pm Tuesday through Friday.

Working environment: Primarily indoors in a general office setting with regulated heating and cooling. Call volume can be heavy at times.

Education

A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field from an accredited university is preferred.
