HVAC Applications & Technical Support Engineer
Job Description
Messana Hydronic Technologies is seeking an onsite Applications & Technical Support Engineer in Soquel, CA. This role focuses on technical product support, project coordination, installer and customer assistance, and cross‑functional collaboration to advance Messana hydronic heating and cooling systems. The position offers a salary range of $75,000 - $120,000 per year, along with a benefits package that includes 401(k), 401(k) matching, cell phone reimbursement, dental, health, and vision insurance, and paid time off.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the sales team to select appropriate products, review system layouts, and coordinate projects
- Coordinate with external mechanical engineering firms to support design development and finalize drawings and submittals
- Assist installers, contractors, engineers, architects, and customers during design, product delivery, installation, and commissioning
- Support the setup and implementation of Messana control solutions for hydronic heating and cooling systems
- Contribute to preparing and reviewing technical documentation, including submittals, installation manuals, project notes, and brochures
- Provide customer training and ongoing technical support for Messana products and systems
- Facilitate internal communication of project requirements among sales, operations, software, and technical teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical experience
- 0 to 4 years of relevant experience in HVAC, hydronics, construction, controls, technical support, or project coordination
- Strong organizational, time management, and project coordination skills
- Comfortable collaborating with installers, engineers, architects, contractors, and customers
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to diverse audiences
- Willingness to travel domestically as needed
