Job Description

In this full-time role, you will conduct in-home customer interactions, deliver technical support, and drive sales within Asurion’s Serve, Solve, Sell framework. The position is on-site in Rochester, NY, with a base pay of $21 per hour, plus paid training, travel expectations, and a five-day schedule that includes evening hours.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-home or on-site visits as pre-scheduled, with opportunities to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service throughout every interaction, consistently prioritizing the customer.
  • Apply technical expertise to diagnose and resolve issues, providing clear, accessible solutions for customers across varying levels of tech knowledge.
  • Ensure customers leave with a workable resolution and a product aligned with their future tech needs.
  • Leverage Asurion's expanding product lineup to tailor recommendations to individual customers.
  • Listen actively to identify customer needs and position products that uniquely meet them.
  • Utilize strong negotiation and communication skills to pivot effectively and close appropriate sales while maintaining customer focus.

Requirements

  • Comfortable working in a sales environment with defined targets.
  • Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record with at least one year of driving experience.
  • Ability to provide proof of valid car insurance (Manhattan excluded).
  • Own a personal vehicle (no motorcycles); appointments occur in neighborhoods and cities surrounding the inventory warehouse, with a maximum one-way travel distance of 120 miles.
  • Ability to work a varied five-day week designed to meet customers on their timeline, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A personal cellphone to stay connected while on the job.
  • Comfortable working around household pets.
  • Efficient, adaptable, goal-oriented, and persuasive communication skills.
  • Open-minded with a willingness to learn a wide range of skills applicable to multiple career paths.
  • Naturally outgoing and comfortable engaging with people.
  • Flexibility may be required as work hours can vary based on business needs and market demand.

Benefits

  • Base hourly pay is guaranteed for all hours worked and is paid bi-weekly; earned pay can be accessed early.
