In-Home Sales & Tech Support (Part-Time)

Join a local in-home team where you combine customer conversations with practical tech support, plus paid training designed to help you work independently in the field. This part-time onsite role in Troy, MI includes daily travel to customer residences and afternoon/evening availability, with coaching to help you stay confident and tech-savvy.

What you’ll do

You’ll meet customers in-home, in-office, or wherever they are, with interactions pre-scheduled by Asurion to help you effectively meet and surpass sales targets. Across every appointment, you’ll focus on a customer-first experience and guide the process from start to finish.

• Deliver exceptional customer service during every interaction.
• Diagnose and resolve customers’ tech issues with clear, easy-to-understand solutions regardless of their tech comfort level.
• Ensure customers leave with a resolution that works and a product that supports their future tech needs.
• Use Asurion’s range of products to tailor solutions.
• Listen actively to identify needs and position products accordingly.
• Apply strong communication and negotiation skills to make smooth pivots and complete appropriate sales.
• Operate using the Serve, Solve, Sell model by consistently performing each component.

Training, coaching, and support

• 3 weeks paid training where your success is the top priority.
• Ongoing coaching and mentoring to support growth and keep skills current.

Part-time schedule details

This role requires afternoon and evening availability. Most positions follow a standard 5-day schedule from 4:05 PM–9:00 PM (end time may vary based on customer needs). In select markets, a flexible option may be available.

• Shifts are scheduled between 12:05 PM and 9:00 PM.
• You may start as late as 4:00 PM, but must be available until 9:00 PM on scheduled days.
• Flexible option (if available): provide 25 hours of availability each week across at least 4 days, including at least 1 weekend day (Saturday or Sunday).
• Schedule availability is essential for this role.

Compensation and pay

The base hourly rate is guaranteed for all hours worked, paid bi-weekly. Earn additional income through uncapped commissions paid bi-weekly.

• Pay rate: $23.95 hourly + mileage reimbursement + phone stipend + sales commission
• Mileage reimbursement: based on IRS guidelines, paid weekly
• Phone stipend: $35 per month
• Earned pay access: earned pay can now be accessed early

What you need

• Comfortable working in a sales environment with set targets
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record with at least 1 year driving experience
• Ability to provide proof of valid car insurance (excluded: Manhattan)
• Personal vehicle (excluding motorcycles)
• Customer appointments located in neighborhoods and cities surrounding your inventory warehouse, with maximum expected travel distance of 120 miles one-way
• A personal cellphone to keep in the know while on the job
