Information Services ERP Help Desk
Job Description
Provide front-line help desk support for employees using the company’s ERP and business applications in an on-site Information Services role.
Responsibilities
- Follow established personnel, information security, and workplace safety policies while working with company systems, data, and equipment.
- Support employees using the ERP system by answering questions, explaining system processes, and resolving access or transaction issues.
- Collect details from users, document and prioritize support requests, and track each request through resolution or escalation.
- Provide status updates to employees and ensure issues are handled by the right resource when escalation is needed.
- Build and maintain a practical working understanding of business processes, with primary focus on the Agronomy and Hardware departments and the systems they use.
- Support user training, system testing, and software updates.
- Assist with process documentation and contribute to the creation or upkeep of support instructions and knowledge resources.
- Collaborate with the Information Services team, software vendors, and other departments to research issues and coordinate solutions.
- Remain flexible to support other departmental projects and operational needs as priorities change.
- Travel as needed to other company locations for on-site support, equipment installation or troubleshooting, employee assistance, and system-related projects.
Requirements
- Associate degree or higher in computer science, information systems, accounting, agriculture, or a related field is preferred; relevant experience supporting business systems may substitute for a degree.
- Experience in a help desk, technical support, or customer service environment.
- Working knowledge of computers, business software, hardware, and basic network concepts, plus the ability to learn and support an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
- Understanding of fundamental accounting concepts and common business transactions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, purchasing, and general ledger activity.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to investigate issues, identify likely causes, test solutions, and escalate complex problems when appropriate.
- Clear written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating with employees across departments and locations.

Location and Work Details
- Location: Effingham, IL (onsite)
- Work location: In person
- Reports to: Information Services Data Manager
- Work environment: The nature of the job requires extended hours.
- Physical demands: Occasionally lift office products and supplies up to 20 pounds.
- Travel: Required to travel to other facilities in The Equity trade area, conferences, educational opportunities, and other job-related activities.
