Job Description
Build practical IT skills while supporting internal users in an on-site role in Kansas with Lockheed Martin. This junior IT Desktop Support position focuses on friendly, effective assistance, hands-on problem solving, and steady career foundation across modern desktop and productivity technologies.

- Deliver friendly, professional, and effective support to internal users
- Troubleshoot and resolve user-reported issues
- Serve as a go-to support resource for internal users

What you’ll work with
- Microsoft Operating Systems
- MS Office and common applications
- Windows Desktop and Windows Server concepts
- Networking and hardware setup, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- VPN and remote access support
- AI prompting as it applies to the position and daily practice
Requirements
- Applicants must be Australian citizens
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain an active Australian Government Defence security clearance at the level required for the position
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems
- Familiarity with MS Office and common applications
- Understanding of Windows Desktop, Server, networks, and hardware setup
- Exposure to troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Awareness of VPN and remote access support
- Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice
- Customer-first mindset, with clear communication and a friendly, approachable attitude
- Ability to thrive as a team player while also working independently
- Genuine passion for technology and career growth
Highly desired
- Experience in a Service Desk or IT Support role
- Experience using service desk call logging tools
- Experience supporting executive or senior staff
- Networking and desktop troubleshooting skills
