Job Description

Prototype IT is seeking a diligent IT Help Desk Support Specialist to join the on-site team in Lewisville, Texas. In this role, you will provide remote technical assistance, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and coordinate IT support for clients in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver remote technical assistance to clients facing software or hardware problems.
  • Address IT incidents and service requests promptly and efficiently.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues across hardware, software, network connectivity, and printing.
  • Escalate intricate technical problems to the appropriate IT team members as needed.
  • Assist with installing and configuring software and hardware for staff.
  • Serve as a liaison with third-party vendors to resolve issues or coordinate maintenance activities.
  • Maintain precise records of incidents, requests, and resolutions in a help desk ticketing system.
  • Help develop and maintain IT documentation and procedures.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in IT support.
  • Provide on-site support when required to meet business and client needs.
  • Interact with customers and colleagues in a courteous, service-oriented manner.
  • Adhere to prototype:IT standards, including regular attendance, grooming, and security guidelines.

Requirements

  • At least two years of experience in a technical support role.
  • A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proficiency with Windows and/or macOS, the Microsoft Office Suite, networking, and remote desktop support.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with users at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a creative approach to finding solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • IT industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or MCP are a plus.
