IT Support Specialist / Help Desk
Job Description
On-site IT support and help desk position for Select Medical in Mechanicsburg, PA, focusing on end-user assistance, incident logging and escalation, and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Respond to reported issues promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction, covering computer hardware and software, peripherals, network connectivity, and related systems.
- Log every incident accurately with current and detailed information.
- Escalate problems in a timely manner by documenting customer impact, assigning priority, and setting resolution targets; initiate escalation for severe issues or those exceeding targets.
- Review outstanding issues daily to ensure ongoing troubleshooting and resolution progress.
- Identify issues with potential enterprise-wide impact; collaborate with the Help Desk Manager to define remediation plans and execute them.
- Participate in relevant information-sharing activities.
- Monitor and report security violations related to unauthorized access to corporate data.
- Ensure problems are resolved efficiently and effectively.
- Support team cohesion by assisting colleagues and promoting a positive work environment.
- Stay aware of a rapidly changing environment and propose cost-efficient techniques.
- Spot areas where policies or procedures need updating or new ones should be developed, especially for future business expansion; submit recommendations as appropriate.
- Support the mission and direction of Select Medical within the Information Services department and across the corporation.
- Complete assigned activities, tasks, and projects.
Requirements
- Associate degree or active enrollment in an Associates program
- Ability to work the posted shift
