Responsibilities
- Serve as the initial contact for tech help via ticketing system, email, phone, or in-person requests
- Troubleshoot remotely or on-site to determine and implement the best resolution
- Collaborate with the Helpdesk Team Lead on complex or unfamiliar issues
- Document issues and resolutions in the Helpdesk ticketing system
- Install and configure hardware, software, operating systems, printers, and scanners
- Travel to remote locations to provide IT support as part of SERT
- Issue and receive IT equipment and complete required paperwork
- Support IT inventory requirements for FDEM
- Maintain monitoring of a state-issued cell phone at all times
- Respond to emergency activations and other IT matters outside scheduled hours
- Work overtime, night shifts, and weekends as needed
- Perform other related tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Proficiency with computer technology demonstrated through education, self-study, or hands-on experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to obtain any required certifications
