Job Description

Contract role in Santa Ana, CA (hybrid) with an hourly rate of USD 77 - 77. You will support operational continuity and configuration readiness for the CGI Outage Management System (OMS) application used by OpenGrid (formerly known as PragramUP/PragmaLINE). APR Consulting Inc teams rely on subject matter expertise, hands-on upgrade assistance, and clear documentation to keep outage management systems running reliably.

What you’ll do

  • Provide subject matter expertise supporting the CGI Outage Management System (OMS) application for OpenGrid.
  • Assist with system logic, processes, and data, with focus on OMS-related projects, customer communications, and operational activities.
  • Support upcoming database and operating system (OS) server upgrades, including OMS configuration, testing, and other hands-on support tasks.
  • Collaborate directly with the IT team that maintains and improves communications, hardware, and software infrastructure.
  • Use data analysis to support operational needs and help with data requests from SQL databases tied to electrical utility events.
  • Design, administer, and monitor grid application software configurations.
  • Create and execute shell scripts and/or Python code to support configuration and testing workflows.
  • Write and review documentation covering configuration processes, logic, and test plans.

Required background

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Maintenance experience providing back office support for the CGI Outage Management System application for an Electrical Utility or similar environment.
  • Working experience with OpenGrid Network (formerly PragmaUP/PragmaLINE), SQL, python, and Windows Server maintenance and operational support.
  • Capability to support PST working hours.
  • Ability to participate in on-call duty support rotation shared with the existing team.
