Senior Technical Support Engineer Cryogenic Systems
Job Description
This hybrid Allentown, PA role provides advanced technical support and field service for high reliability cryogenic equipment, with up to 10% travel.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical contact for customers, guiding them through complex issues and inquiries.
- Troubleshoot cryogenic equipment including compressors, cryopumps, and vacuum systems to identify faults.
- Lead customers through diagnostics and corrective steps via phone or video sessions.
- Identify root causes and escalate intricate problems to engineering for resolution.
- Document cases comprehensively and monitor for recurring issues to drive improvements.
- Collaborate with product, service, and engineering teams to support deployments and service activities.
Requirements
- AS or BS degree in Engineering, or Engineering Technology, with a focus in mechanical or electrical disciplines, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in field services, technical support, engineering sales, or applications.
- Experience with equipment troubleshooting, including vacuum or gas systems and compressors.
