Job Description

This role at ID Logistics is a Senior Help Desk Support Technician position on the Day Shift, onsite in Henrico, VA. The successful candidate will maintain and support computer systems and networks within a warehouse and third-party logistics environment, with a focus on warehouse processes, RF equipment, and user guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain local networks to optimize performance.
  • Troubleshoot systems and analyze warehouse operating equipment and software.
  • Develop short and long term plans aligned with warehouse operations goals.
  • Assist with PowerShell scripting and automation tasks.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between technical operations and production teams.
  • Roll out software installations across multiple endpoints efficiently.
  • Maintain security and privacy of networks and endpoints.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues through troubleshooting.
  • Configure workstations with PCs and required peripherals such as routers and printers.
  • Inspect hardware components including hard drives, mice, and keyboards for proper operation.
  • Install and configure appropriate software according to specifications.
  • Provide onboarding and guidance to users on new software and devices.
  • Keep logs of repairs, maintenance, and service schedules.
  • Monitor for equipment shortages and place procurement orders as needed.
  • Adhere to corporate and site GMP practices and report noncompliance when observed.
  • Comply with safety rules and support enforcement as appropriate.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; relevant work experience may substitute for an advanced degree.
  • At least 3 years of end-user support experience.
  • At least 1 year of IT support experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows 10 and the Microsoft Server product line.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and VPN technologies.
  • Experience with data backup, antivirus protection, and network system monitoring.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities with the capacity to manage technical operations.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management capabilities.
  • Effective verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of computer systems, networks, and internet security principles.
  • Ability to participate in on-call support within a 24/7 operational environment.

Compensation

Salary: USD 65,000 to 68,000 annually.
