Elite Lighting offers an onsite Technical Support Electrical Engineer role in Commerce, CA with a competitive annual salary of USD 70,000. This position centers on monitoring, diagnosing, and troubleshooting electrical systems and products, primarily via phone and email, with occasional on-site visits. You will join a team that prioritizes clear communication, safety, and practical product enhancements.
Position Details
- Location: Commerce, CA (onsite)
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM
- Employment Type: Full-Time, regular after a 180-day trial period
- Pay: USD 70,000 per year
- Commuting/Relocation: Ability to commute to Commerce, CA 90040 preferred; relocation to Commerce, CA before starting preferred
Responsibilities
- Monitor, diagnose, and troubleshoot electrical systems and products over the phone and by email
- Perform work to industry standards while maintaining a professional appearance and conduct
- Communicate with customers in a courteous and professional manner
- Handle daily emails and calls, prioritizing urgent requests with strict deadlines
- Use CALL.E to enter and track all pending customer issues
- Complete troubleshooting tasks, installations, repairs, and maintenance in a timely manner
- Continuously suggest product upgrades, dimming options, and improved literature
- Provide prompt and positive responses to customer requests
- Keep tools, parts, equipment, and supplies clean and safely organized
- Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety and handling of hazardous or restricted materials
- Maintain neat records of assigned work, addressed jobs, and completed tasks
- Perform light commercial and industrial electrical work
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of experience in general electrical service work (residential and/or commercial, retail) preferred
- Engineering background preferred
- Electrical license and/or certification is required
- Field installation experience
- Computer skills with the ability to monitor, navigate, and use equipment operating systems
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to read and understand schematic, electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings
- Ability to install a project completely based on an engineered design
- Above-average knowledge of electrical systems and components
- Ability to lift up to 51 pounds repeatedly, and work in confined spaces such as closets, crawl spaces, attics, and mechanical rooms
- Ability to work from heights if required
