Technical Support (POS Systems)

Universal Processing is seeking a fully onsite Technical Support professional to support clients and sales with POS systems in Flushing, NY. In this role, you will help deploy and troubleshoot POS software and hardware while working closely with internal teams to resolve customer inquiries and improve the product based on user feedback.

Role Overview

This is a critical, client-facing position that is fully onsite 5 days a week in the Flushing, NY office. The Technical Support (POS Systems) role includes hands-on installation and configuration, remote troubleshooting by phone and remote control tools, and issue analysis for software and hardware concerns. The position also includes supporting end users and contributing feedback to the Development team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, install, and configure software and hardware for deployment
• Onboard and train new users for newly deployed software and hardware
• Provide remote troubleshooting over the phone and through remote control tools
• Identify and analyze issues related to software and/or hardware
• Partner with the Operations and Sales departments to deliver solutions for POS inquiries
• Collect feedback from end users and work with the Development team on future product improvements
• Assist with inventory tracking and management

Requirements

• Authorization to work in the US at the time of hire; E-Verify employer
• Mandarin Chinese reading and writing proficiency is required
• 1-2 years of Technical Support experience is required; POS systems experience is highly preferred
• Strong communication skills, critical thinking, and analytical attention to detail
• Friendly, patient client communication with active listening
• Initiative to resolve problems effectively
• Self-motivation to learn new systems and product installation
• Ability to complete tasks before deadlines with careful attention to details
• Comfort working both as part of a team and independently
• Proficiency with Excel and Word

Preferred Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Network Administration, or related field is a plus

Compensation & Schedule

• Location: Flushing, NY (onsite)
• Pay: $55,000 - $60,000 per year
• Position type: Non-exempt
• Probation: Mandatory probation period
