Patriot Tech Services is seeking a Technical Support Specialist for an on-site role in Wheelersburg, Ohio. In this position, you will address customer technical issues, install and troubleshoot hardware and software, and contribute to the design of network solutions, with a clear focus on maintaining cybersecurity for clients within a small, growing firm. The role demands hands-on problem solving, effective collaboration, and a practical approach to technology across multiple environments.
Responsibilities
- Installs, modifies, and performs minor repairs to computer hardware and software systems.
- Handles tickets representing customer technical requests or problems and troubleshoots technical and process issues to sustain productivity.
- Troubleshoots issues with clients' software or devices and engages vendor technical support when necessary.
- Assists in the design and implementation of networks.
- Consults with users to determine appropriate hardware and software needs and helps process orders.
- Maximizes computer systems capabilities by studying technical applications and offering recommendations.
- Creates, maintains, and monitors the cybersecurity stance of client environments.
- Tests compatibility of new programs with existing systems.
- Gathers data to identify and evaluate technical purchasing options.
- Installs software and essential applications to support workflows.
- Performs software, network, and database performance tuning, installations, and troubleshooting.
- Documents hardware and software updates for reference and audits.
- Stays current on technical advancements by attending workshops, reviewing publications, and engaging with professional communities.

Education, Experience & Licensing
- Associate's degree or higher in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent on-the-job experience.
- Prior experience in a Helpdesk, NOC, IT, or similar technical function.
- Microsoft certifications or compliant certifications are a plus; military experience is a plus.
